The Money Tree

During my childhood, whenever I ask for money my mother would give it to me but, it will be followed by some enlightening words! Saying this words….

"Why every time ask for money! Do you think money grows on tree!"
In her Tamil words "kassu enna marathelaiya kaikethe!"

I don’t blame her for those harsh words as, I fully understand her hard work tapping the rubber trees to earn RM150 – RM200 in those days. Although, she used say those harsh word but, deep inside her heart she cared for me, wanted me eat the little kuih and study hard.

But, those words keep on repeating in mind all this while and I kept asking myself; Is there any tree which can grow money? I started to think how to change this harsh and negative sounding words into a positive and encouraging words. I took this challenge to find the seeds of “The Money Tree”

Knowingly or not knowingly she set my path for future…………”Find the seeds of money tree and growing my money” . I thought that, these words being repeated by many for centuries and it had some deep meaning in it. I just have to find out and realize it, get enlightened. And I vision “If I find the right seeds, and plant it on a fertile soil, I will be harvesting the fruits of my effort continuously. Once the tree started growing money I can plug it daily, monthly or yearly. I just have to water it and sprinkle some fertilizes once a while. Ops! prefer it to be organic fertilizers as it is the latest trend!".

So, I set this journey to find this seeds 15 years ago!!! Just imagine what people around you would be saying. Are you crazy? How can a tree grow money?

But, I never gave up I start in Malaysia;found "Pokok Emas but it was in the museum, then went to Japan; found neon trees, traveled to US; found scared Red Indian trees, and lately in Thailand; they had many Pokok Emas sent by our Sultan!!!. And I Google, BINGed it and Yahoo!!! Finally, on Dec 2008 exactly 2 year before my last day of work, while looking at the mirror I realized that the “seed” is nowhere to be found outside! It is inside me!.............I am the seed, I am the potential seed that can grow into a huge money tree.

I just have to nourish myself in the fertile soil of knowledge and skills to grow money and harvest the fruits of money, and with this realization a whole new world was opened to me. I become broader, bigger and new opportunities was wide opened to me. Salary man work became like a prison, there is no life giving water to wake up “the seed” there is not fertile soil for roots to split open downwards and there is no sun for the first shot upwards. Life is just a dry routine!

Since then all my affords was to give life to this seed to become “The Money Tree” as my mother told me in her harsh words. Deep inside her she wanted a “Money Growing tree” not the “Rubber Tree” but she didn’t know the way and methods to plant the money growing tree. Every child is a potential money growing tree! Well, does it sounds familiar? You might have heard this “Every human being is potential Buddha” You might agree with me. We have many fake God-men and genuine mystics telling us that your are potential Buddha and Buddha-hood is your birth right. But, not many Rich-men who are willing say :"You are potential Zorba, and Zorbahood is your birthright". Never heard about Zobra? Well Google it.

What to expect when we are surrounded by MIDDLECLASSmen, POORmen and many fake God-men! Who keep on saying money is BAD, Materialistic,Money cannot bring happiness and bla bla bla! When they hear you say “Money Growing Tree” they will be in shock and immediately shut you down knowingly or not knowingly. But, the RICH knows very well about this money growing trees and they keep on nourishing it, watering it and nowadays even the using chemicals/hormones to get more money fruits! Some have opted for organic money tree and environment friendly money tree also.

Yet, we (especially myself) didn't even know about the money tree. It took me 15 years to realize about money tree. Everyone, please search for your own money tree, find the seed and give it the life giving water, nourished it with fertile soil and expose it to the ray of the sun......Grow up to be a Huge Money Tree!

My Internet Adventure!

I have not been blogging lately as I found more challenging adventure in creating website that works. Yes everyone need a website that works not a website which look like brochure! State of art design and graphic but not traffics. Almost every company and many individual have website but do they really get enough visitors to make a good income from the website.

OK, just want to make this posting as short as possible. Nowadays, I think it is totally waste of time writing long post as nowbody interested in reading more than 250 words.

Why our government, teachers and parents doesn't want us to be RICH?

RICH in experience and money this what we all want to be! But, does our environment which we live in, provide all the means and right experience for us to experience the RICHness of life?

Indians used to say "maatha pithaa guru theivam" or "Mother Father Teacher God"

Which means that we get our experience and education starting from our mother followed by father, teacher and God thus, we need to give respect and have a gratitude for them in the same order. I just leave out God here. In ancient times there wasn't any formal education so, kids get education from their parents and teachers based on class/caste. If your are from agriculture class you will get the hands on experience on agriculture while if you are in the warrior class you will get the skills of defence and martials arts. Things are different and changed during the Industrialized Age (I know we are in IT Age! But I don't want to get there yet, because we need to get out of Industrial Age mentality first before going to IT Age mentality)and our current education system is still based on Industrial Age mentality.

Ok, back to the title from old saying "maatha->pithaa->guru" lets change the sequence in a different order Government -> Teachers -> Parents/society* and see WHY they don't want us to be RICH!

*I added society because sometimes their influence is stronger than our parents influence, especially with the Social Networks like Facebook, Myspace and etc.

First lets look at our GOVERNMENT

Our education system is designed by our government (ever changing Education Ministry and their changing education policy), but the concept of education never changed for past 50 years! It is syllabus-ed for Industrial Age which means we all are a product of Industrial age education and those finishing school now are also will be a product of Industrial Age education. This education is design for mass producing working force for production and service industry specilist like technician, skilled workers, accountant, secretary, nurse, doctor, engineer, lawyers, or computer programmer. 'This are the people who know a lot about a little."
Students begin focusing on their academic strengths and taking courses with an eye towards high paying future careers. They are constantly pushed to be smart, study hard, and get good grades.

By time, everyone started to compete for higher academic qualification and high paying jobs resulted to highly educated left-brained persons. Right brain which is associated with pictures, art, music, and others like creativity & imagination is ignored.

If you ask a highly educated left-brained person for the definition of intelligence, he or she replies,"If you agree with me you are intelligent. if you don't you're an idiot."

We are not train to use our other hand skills in making or creating things, creating new ideas, arts, music and etc. All this is only optional activities or sometimes luxury activities for us and often ignored.

Being rich (financially or experience) means developing both brain in balance. If we talk about money for example, "If I ask you what is the difference between MONEY and CURRENCY?", not many can answers this question.

Even an A student leaves school knowing little. Most of us learn about money from people who also are not financially intelligent. This is why so many people have middle-class aspirations i.e living below your means, saving money, and staying out of debt.

Not everyone is getting financial education/education about money, even if some get financial education like accounting students.......they are thought and trained to work for others!


Next TEACHERs

In school teachers depend on fear to motivate, threaten rather than teach, imitate rather than innovate, punish mistake rather than encourage, play it safe rather than think bigger. I remember teachers saying to me" If you don't get good grades, you won't get good job." Though I got many As it only gave me half of the experience the another half was suppressed!!! Sadly!!!

Mistake and failure are rewarded with punishment! So we all became, play it safe professionals working until retirement.

BUT, in the RICH mans world "one learns from mistakes, not successes" The rich take big risk, take challenges and think big. Why the Japanese are so successful in creating new technology and cutting edge products........they love to make mistakes and failure.the more they make the more they learn and without giving up and stopping at first failure they repeat and repeat until there is a solution.


Finally PARENTs

So, when this poor students are back home.............. what their parents have for them....the same thing " Be smart, study hard, get good grades and get high paying job"

Some even go to the extend to fixed a career for their kids....I want you to became a doctor, engineer, lawyer and etc!!! Success is measure with As :8As, 9As, 10As" wows lots of AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAs

And this ignorant parents doesn't know that " A students work for C students and B student work for the government"

I always ask kids "What you want to be when you grow up?" And the common answer is Doctor, engineer, lawyer or teacher no one will say I want to be a entrepreneur, creating new solution to a old problems or to be successful on doing something or providing a service etc, I want to do this or that. Their mind is already set to work for others. I am not saying doctors are not necessary but this kids need to think beyond doctor and develop other skill together so that even if they became a Dr. they will be RICH in $ and RICH in EXPERIENCE.

Nowadays, I changed my question!
"What kind a businessman or entrepreneur you want to be?"
"What how rich you want to be?"
I see a them freeze....without answers!

Look around, and you will see that most of the business man, successful entrepreneurs are C students. The statistic shows many billionaires/millionaires are either performed poorly in school or drop outs. This doesn't means you should ask your kids to fail but, just take balance to develop both the left and right brains and don't to carried away with As because the government, teacher and parents want you work for others, pay bills, save and be a middle class intentional and unintentionally!

Indian Bashing!

Recently I posted a article titled "Indian Gave Nothing to The World" in a Facebook group, although the title sounds negative, the actual content was intended give a sense of dignity to our community.

There were number of participants who shared their view and thoughts and with respect to those who participate in this discussion board........I would like to thank them their thoughts and opinion. It is all always better to get it direct from the people!!! 
Some of them expressed frustration........it is a good sign! Provided if, one can turn their frustration energy into positive energy by improve themselves and their surrounding. for example if you are frustrated seeing our community being poor you can turn this frustration into positive energy by becoming a entrepreneur/business man. If frustrated with our communities education level you can this frustration into positive energy by starting a tuition or educating your own kids.  

But quite numbers us here harbor negativity thoughts about Indians and like "Indian Bashing"...........This Indian bashing especially among Malaysian Indians is quite prevalent in many Indian social networks and social groups. Why there is so much negative opinion brothers n sisters? I am referring to some statements--->; "this stupid, lazy Indians and  ...etc? I am sure you all did not mean it!

I am very sadden to see and hear lots of negative attitude towards Indians among Indians. In my personal opinion this collective negative thinking is the main reason we cannot move on in life , make changes or break free from the past mentality. We are yet to release the power of our sub-conscious brain which if program with POSITIVE thoughts can do wonders!  This is the most power full of the three brains (left, right & subconscious). It does not think, but rather reacts, fights, flees, or freezes. It is a person's subconscious brain that ultimately determines of they are a success or failure in life, love, health and money. This is because subconscious mind is the most powerful part of the brain, especially in pressure situations. You can develop you right or left side of your brain but there not guarantee that you can be success full. You can be a Engineering genius by developing you left side or great arties by developing you right side but the destiny of ourselves and our community is determined by the total sum of individual subconscious brain/mind. SO be very sensitive to the you thought and your environment (your immediate family, friends, society) because your subconscious is programs and influenced by your own thought and the environment you life in.

Example;

People think differently when their subconscious is controlled by fear. If people are fearful they may say, "I can;t do that.What if I fail?" or That's risky." Compare that to a person who is in a fight-state subconscious, who might say, 'I'll show them. I'll get that deal just to prove I can do it." Can observe our children how many of them utter this positive words? Not many in my personal experience! Why we program this poor kid's  subconscious brains with negative thought like;

Indians are stupid

Indians are lazy

Indians are criminals

Indians are third class citizen,

Indians are poor

Indians cannot do business

Indians are like crabs (we are repeating this crab story for decades)

Indians cannot unite

the list goes on............

Let me make it simple and short.

Try repeating  "You are stupid/ idiot" to your children daily for few months or for a year!

What do you think the result will be? Your children either will behave stupid or lose their self-confidence in themselves although their are not stupid by birth!

I am sure you are not going to risk your children's future with this experiment. 


Again, are you will to repeat this word to your children every day?.............

This is the most important thing that you must know, "There is always a buy for all the products ever produced" The only thing is who wants to sell it, if you don't someone else would. So decide for your self you want to be a buyer or seller.

You can offer to tutor students online. You can teach a student in US add math on your pajamas. If you have new approach and easy to understand solution to a same problem you can lots of money tutoring students. If your have writing skills you can write articles and submit to websites, like Associated Content.

OK, back to scams! First, never ever pay a fee to get a job. Many scams will want you to pay a registration fee, material fee or information fee. Stay away from this sites.

Your can make money online with affiliate marketing. All you need is a computer and Internet connection and the willingness to learn.

My advise is your start doing it by yourself and learn along the way. You might fail many times but never give up each time you fail the nature is teaching a lesson worth learning and experience worth acquiring.

You don't have to spend a dime in the Internet while learning and getting new knowledge, that is the beauty of Internet! Even many advance and professional free software are there for you to use. ( I will write about this free software in my next blog). Yes, I am talking about free web hosting site which gives you all the basic services that you need to start your first WWW experiences. Although the space will be limited you can learn allot from it. Of-course once you have acquired the skills and your business started to generate income, you can shift to a more advance paid web hosting. In this way you will never loose money or take out money from your pocket.

Before you start you need to ask yourself few questionｓ and give your sincere answer to it. What are your strengths? Do you like writing? Reading? What are you doing to do when you grow up?

I want to be Doctor!

Lawyer!

Engineer!

Teacher!

I think almost everyone of us faced this question at least once in our life time. Most of us might have been asked to write an essay about it by our English teacher or Bahasa Malaysia teacher. During my schools days every time my relatives visit me I will asked the same question. During those days I wanted to be a doctor! I am not sure why I wanted to be a doctor, maybe after listening to my parents and people around me talking good things about doctors and doctors are highly respected. Not only me ask any Indian boy or girls the immediate response will be either Doctor or Lawyer and some times Engineer.  Even today after 15 to 20 years have past the answer to the same question have not changed, but now we have more choices. From doctor, engineer, lawyer, Computer programmer, web designer, IT engineer, and list goes on and on. This shows we didn't see the changes happening around us! We all are in the same mentality as 20 years ago. Since, 1998 when the Berlin wall came down and the World Wide Web came up the world as changed dramatically. In this new IT Age we need to think differently, do things differently and plan our live differently. Those old thinking of Industrial Age is gone! Gone with wind! Old thinking like "study hard, get a high paying work, save money, buy house, buy car and have retirement plan are gone! During the Industrial Age the government through its education system was preparing us for mass employment in manufacturing industry and service industry. 

In this IT Age if we are still have the Industrial Age thinking, we will be left out very far behind (my estimated is around 10 years behind). The world is in a fast track and everyone is speeding very fast. In this IT Age, more people will get rich and more people will become poor while the middle class will shrink. We need have to choose in which class we want to be.

We need to go beyond this mentality of being Doctor, Lawyer or Engineer which I call it as DOLE syndrome! DOLE syndrome is heredity disease and it is being passed on to us by our parents and grandparents and the society around us. I have seen many families sell the assets or use their hard earn money to send their children overseas to study medicine. Many of this poor children became doctors against their will. Fortunately, this DOLE syndrome it is not in our DNA it is in our Brain. We can eliminate this DOLE syndrome the sooner the better. After all being professional or working for company is not the only way to earn money ! If fact most or the rich people don't have a university degree and they don't work for others.

I am not against one being doctor, lawyer or engineer but it should be forced by parents, family and society around us. Many of us are trapped by people surrounding us and our life's and thinking are very much influenced by people around us. I will take time for changes to come into our community but do we have the time and luxury to wait?

I don't a solution and specific answer to the above problems because everyone of us have the intelligence to think about it and make the changes. Changes start within us. I am making changes myself. I am not going to point at others are advise other until I see success in myself. Wow! There a lot to change and many negative influences an thinking pattern need to corrected.............! Thank got I live in oversea away from my family and society.........So it should easy for me to change myself. 

Think iT!

Increase your words to increase your money

One of the best way to became successful in your chosen field is the increase your vocabulary of the chosen field. For example if your want to be Accountant or Financial expert you should know the meaning of the words related to accounting terms like net income, expenses, Asset, Liabilities, Depreciation, long term loan, short term loan, P&L Sheet, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Net Profit, Gross Profit and etc. The same goes if you want to be a Doctor, Lawyer or an Engineer. If your talk to this profesional people you can notice they always use more words related to their field of expertise.

Based on this simple concept, if your want to rich what should you do? Yes, you MUST increase your vocabulary related to being rich or related to a business, entrepreneurship, financial, real estate and so on.

So start early because words leads to money. Especially, in this IT Age "Keywords" leads to more money!

Don't post pone your earnings

Few days ago I was just wondering why we like post pone our earnings? During my schooling days and university days the thought of making some extra money or doing some thing for money did not arise. I think it is because the way myself were thought and brought up made me think that I should start earn money after I finished my education. Everyone around me, my parents, my siblings, cousins, uncles, teaches, friends and the society said only one thing . They all said " Study hard! Score A's! Go to University! Get a high paying Job! Some went to the extant to Say " Work hard! Save Money! Buy House and Get Married!  I did what ever they said, I studied hard accept I buying a house and getting married!

Why should we wait until we graduate to start earn? Why not start earning before we graduate, even before we start our tertiary education. Things have change so much that if we slack a little we will be left far behind by other communities. Now we are in the IT age not Industrial Age anymore....We should start adjusting to new Age where old rules doesn't work any more. We need to separate our earnings and education. It is two different things: our earning is not 100% related to our education. After all our education doesn't teach us how to earn money and it doesn't teach us to become rich either! We learn it in the streets from the society! Became street smarts is the best way to earn a better life. Look at most of the millionaires and billionaires, either they didn't get university education or they did not complete their tertiary education!

School smarts only develop their left side of their brain, and most of them neglect the right side! The creative side which is important when we are stepping into the streets.

So the question will be

How to became street smart?

How to develop the right side of the brain?

How to start earning before we graduate?

Think It!

Search for ways to earn even before you graduate. There thousand of ways to earn without investing a single cent. Practice to create new ideas and new business, everyone knows practice makes perfect!

The Money Tree

During my childhood whenever I ask for money my mother will shout at me " Why every time ask for money! Do you think money comes from tree!" (kassu enna marathelaiya kaikethe!) But she and we all didn't know that we actually can have a money tree. We can plant a money tree. We only need a good Money Seed!!! Well you might think I am crazy. Where can we get the money seed? You don't have to look further, you don't have Google it..........it is right where you are standing! Yes YOU are the seed! The question is how? How to turn your self into a potential money making seed? Keep asking this question for the time being............you and me can find the answer very soon.

Politics are for the blamers!

Lately, we had some major incidents (Makhal Sakthi, 2008 GE & etc) which changed our life's forever.........oops! Did our life really changed ever since?

We all (including me) joined hand in hand by what ever means to this phenomenon hoping for another Falling of Berlin Wall like incident. We almost got there but, maybe we missed it by fraction of time! But we did try.

Did we learn from it?

Well I learned from it? What I learned?

1. When we get together as one powerful voice and we can shake the POWER THRONE! if we want to.

2. We, Malaysian Indian can actually get together and voice our concerns.

3. We care for each other more than what we actually think off.

4. There some Indian who willing to sacrifice their personal life for the community! Sincerely, thanks to them.

Sorry only 4 positive lessons! Did you learn more?

Now the main reason I writing this post! I have also learned that we never learn from our mistakes. We Indian have a lot to blame others. Instead of stopping, asking ourself, learning and correcting our selfs we blame other for our failures. We are very angry, depressed, upset and blaming the politicians, political party, government and any other people whom we can get on.

It is obvious from our mental and emotional state of mind that our forefathers had gone through ever since they came here to earn and was blaming instead of learning. Is this the legacy that they wanted to pass to us? The blaming culture? We should remember their sacrifices made with their life and blood working in the Malayan rain forest and rubber estated but, we also should learn from their mistake and weakness.

It was during this period that I understood that it is important that we stop, think, learn and correct ourselves. And the scary thing is, I must learn fast because the changes are happening very fast ever since the Berlin Wall was DOWN and the World Wide Web came UP 10 years ago. It is a Fast Track and I need to drive fast or be left out by decades behind.

By not admitting that we made mistakes and that we have weakness that need self improvement, we have made matters worst! Our major scapegoat is our government and the politicians.

So politics are for the blamers! At least in my personal opinion.

Indian gave "Nothing" to the world

If you're an Indian, you should be angry by now after reading the title! But, hold on a second and take a deep breadth...........What I am meant by the "Nothing" is Zero (0), yes the Indians gave zero the world. Not only zero but numbers 1 to 9 which all the while called as Arabic numbers because the West got it from Arabs during the Crusades. Do you know the Arabs word for Mathematics is Al-hind which means "from the land of India/Hindu". Not many know this I guess. What is the big fuss about give numbers to the world as all the major civilization do have their own numbers! Well if not for the Indian's 0,1,2.....9 we most probability will be using Roman numbers such as I, II, III, IV,.........XMLIIIVII. Wow! can you do some calculation with that? or solve complex mathematical problems or do your accounting. And what about accuracy without 0? Example how to write 11.15 in Roman XI.XV. Can you write 0.001 without the zero? Get what I mean.

cow head

Recent cow head protest has left many people consufed in Malaysia. Ordinary people Muslims and Hindus, politician and even religious leader are confused and making it a big issue. Frankly, I am not against their protest because they have all the rights for a peaceful gathering to express their concerns and grievance. But the thing that bothered me was the scene of "mad cow heads" parading a cow head in the streets. Seeing the pictures, I think the protestor does not have respect for their food! Simple as it is, there is not need to think otherwise or speculate on anything else. the cow head..................it belongs to the cooking pots not to used as a mascot! I am vegetarian so I don't eat beef and any death animals flesh! but I have great respect for all food. you can eat what ever you like but, just give you last respect to your food before you munch it. that's what my feeling when I saw the picture in the internet. I would suggest to the protestor to use paper cow head and after the protest the can sell the cow to any apek buying "surat khabar lama".
By the way, they the protested got it all wrong. I think it is my responsibility to educate them,........Why they used cow head to protest against the Hindus??? hmm! why? will a cow head offend the Hindus?.......will the cow head really offend us. In my opinion it would not. They the protestors would not be able to offend the true Hindus except for some misguided fanatics! maybe a pig head will offend us I guess. Unfortunately, with respect, they the protestor could not parade pig head. Yet I have a suggestion for them, they can hire a Hindu to carry it for them..........a little confused??? well you should be. Some of us eat pig but never cook pork in our house it is strictly not allowed and most of us never eat beef but we use many things made of cow skin. ha-ha! a little more confusion. well you should be. it is better you get confuse. is the best way to educate yourself and get the truth. this the ancient mystics method of teaching his disciple to attained enlightenment. the mystic will make the disciple confused until he drops all his beliefs or philosophies and seek the truth. So don't give up on understanding us...it is easy said then done. but keep trying. Sorry I forgot to mentioned one more thing....we Hindus wear shoes made of cow skin to temples too. now very much confused huh? you should be because we the Hindus also confused. so stop parading foods in the streets and stop trying to confuse "the most confused" people on the planet earth.........you will never succeed!

Hi to everyone?..............I think nobody is listening to me now!!! Well I wanted to blog long time ago.......since the year 2006. I did registered 2 blog but never really blogged. I had this feeling that my English is not good and afraid of making grammatical mistakes............but now after two years.............I have changed i guess!...............I came to a understanding that in communication, mere words or good sentence is not that much important as I used to think!...........I came to understand that communication is more then just words........so I am going write all the things that BLOGGING my mind.
